Using DiskWarrior’s File Checking

Click the Files icon in the DiskWarrior application to run tests on the ﬁles of disks and to repair

User permissions on your startup drive.

From the Files tab you can select a volume from the popup menu and perform either or both of

the ﬁle checking options

Repair Disk Permissions

In Mac OS X ﬁles must have the correct User permissions in order to run without problems.

When these get set incorrectly, DiskWarrior can run a tool that compares the permissions

software should have with what it does have then sets the permissions correctly. Checking this
